Listen to Brigadier General Jaswant Wadhwani

One of two Urologists at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, identified only as Dr. Yankah has allegedly committed suicide at his East Legon residence.

His lifeless body was discovered hanging in the early hours of Saturday and has since been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The Commander of the 37 Hospital, Brigadier General Jaswant Wadhwani, who confirmed the sad incident in an interview with Joy News’ Sammy Darko, described the late Dr. Yankah as a nice person who has worked with the hospital only for three months.

Dr. Yankah is reported to have relocated from the United States of America where he previously practised. His death remains a mystery to his colleagues.

Brigadier General Jaswant Wadhwani said Dr. Yankah's death is a great loss to the hospital but expressed the hope that cordial relations with the Korle bu Teaching Hospital will help ease any pressure on the hospital.
